DIRECTORY EDITOR
Written by: Dick Bull
Did you ever wish you could rearrange
your disk directory, grouping related
programs together? Have you wanted to
make a program stand out from others?
DIRECTORY EDITOR can do all that and
more. In the folowing description, the
word 'file' refers to any directory
listing, file, or program.
Here is what DIRECTORY EDITOR can do:
1. Move a file anywhere in the
directory.
2. Place an empty space in the
directory so the next program
saved will go there.
3. Close up the spaces left by
scratching so the next file will
be placed at the end of the
directory.
4. Place a mark "--------" between
files or groups of files. Each one
will be unique so they may be
copied with a file copy program.
5. Rename a file from a reference
number. You don't need the old
file name. (look at those mystery
files).
6. Scratch by reference number.
7. Write protect or lock an
individual file.
8. Soft write protect the disk. This
is safe against all but
reformatting.
WARNING: Experiment on an old disk
before using DIRECTORY EDITOR
on your priceless disks.
All functions are shown on the main
screen to allow easy use.
